Short answer
DeForest households get one bulk item a month on their designated day (two tires), booked with GFL at least 48 hours ahead at 608-580-0580. Items must be under 50 pounds and manageable by one person; mattresses fully wrapped in plastic; no e-waste.
That limit rules out most sofas and appliances; those need the landfill, a paid pickup or a hired crew. E-waste days in 2026 were April 4 and October 10. See the DeForest page.
